Unmult is a plugin for Adobe After Effects CS6 and CC, allowing you to easily remove black borders from 1920x1080 HD files. Unmult runs on Windows or Mac machines and all plugins for After Effects CS6 and CC are compatible (including Premiere Pro CS5, 5.5, 6, and 7). Unmult performs border removal with minimal processing overhead which makes this plugin very fast. Unmult uses the same algorithm as FrameFlex 3D to remove black borders without affecting motion or shifting pixels out of place. The edge-detection functionality of Unmult allows detecting borders around logos and other objects, such as lettering. Unmult works with all sorts of HD titles, such as movies and TV shows. Unmult is 100% accurate at detecting borders and pixels. It has been tested against numerous HD files by several different people to ensure it's working correctly. The same algorithm and detector used in FrameFlex 3D is used in Unmult, making the two 5D specific plugins compatible with each other. The unmult plugin itself can be used on all types of files: video projects, images, text files (.txt), sound effects, animation clips, etc.. Unmult can also be used as a standalone filter. As an example, if you wanted to remove the black border from a video clip, you could put the videoclip in the Timeline and select "Unmult" from the Filter menu. Unmult will automatically detect white borders, making it easy to remove border information from footage. After removing the borders, you can layoff or rotate your video clip as usual. In addition to removing black borders, Unmult will work with any other effect that includes a contrast adjustment.
